Suppliers of Stainless Steel & Non-Ferrous Metals
Depending on the finish you are looking for, and your budget, we can provide you with the metal cutting service you need.
Plasma cutting is a process that uses gas heated to a very high temperature which is then ionised to become electrically conductive. It can be used to cut a variety of metals of virtually any thickness.
The plasma cutting process involves melting the metal therefore some secondary finishing will be required.
Laser cutting utilises light beams of uniform wavelength (i.e. a laser) to cut the metal. It is extremely accurate and therefore creates less stress or distortion than plasma cutting. The laser cutting process leaves an edge with a good surface finish.
Water jet cutting is a cold cutting system. It uses a jet of pressurised water, or a mixture of water and an abrasive substance.
This system can be used to cut virtually all materials. As no heat is generated in the process of water jet cutting there is no distortion or stress placed on the metal leaving a burr free finish, removing the need for any secondary finishing.
Laser, water jet and plasma cutting can all be used on stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, bronze and nickel alloys and all come with full mill test certification.
