Metal polishing is a process that smoothes metals and alloys to produce a ‘polished’, bright, even finish.

It is often used when there is a need to enhance the looks of a workpiece, remove oxidation or create a reflective surface.

Metal Coating

The process of metal coating involves providing a layer that changes the surface properties of the workpiece. Therefore it effectively becomes a composite.

You may want to change a metal’s surface properties to:

• Increase its durability
• Provide a corrosion and oxidation resistant layer
• Change its colour
• Make it more resilient to wear erosion
